Yuehtung "Eva" Lin
The Whole StoryEva Lin was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1999, and she arrived in California in 2005 with her older brother and two parents.

She survived multiple human child trafficking attempts on her life from early childhood to age 11.

She survived being molested daily by her teacher after offering herself to protect her classmates from age 8 to age 9.

She survived a suicide attempt from crashing her car into the mountainside at 50 mph at age 27.
Projects
Work Experience & Volunteering

Eva works as a wildlife biologist and compliance monitor at ESA to survey and monitor for special-status species listed under the state and federal Endangered Species Act. She mainly works with terrestrial invertebrates, amphibians, and reptiles.

In my free time, I work with K-12 teachers and college professors to educate students on entomology, future planning, consulting, and the field of science. Reach out if you would like a scientist to speak at your school.
